I’m teaming up with my amazing friends and neighbours at Barco Lounge to bring you a Spanish-inspired creative evening for Halloween!

Join us for Tapas Tuesday – but with a crafty twist! We are taking pottery painting out of the studio and into Barco Lounge, so you can sip, snack, and get creative all in one place! 

No experience needed - just bring your best Halloween vibes. We’ll take your pieces back to The Painting Pot to glaze & kiln-fire, ready for collection.

Food and drinks are not included but with Barco Lounge’s legendary Tapas Tuesday menu available, it’s the perfect opportunity to sip, snack, and get crafty!

A pottery evening for friendly folk

Introducing Solo but Social, a brand new evening designed especially for those who want to enjoy pottery painting in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere without needing to come as part of a group.

Whether you’re new to the area, looking to meet new people, or simply fancy a relaxed night out doing something creative, this is the perfect event for you.

Expect a bright, sociable studio vibe, chilled-out tunes, and the chance to chat, laugh, and get painting with others who are doing the same. We’ll provide tasty nibbles, and you’re welcome to bring a bottle to enjoy while you paint. Hot and cold drinks are also available to purchase.

Adults: Pottery & Pizza Night

An Evening of Creativity & Deliciousness!

Join us at The Painting Pot  for a fun Pottery and Pizza night, where you can indulge in a scrumptious pizza buffet accompanied by refreshing cold drinks.

Following the feast, unleash your artistic side with pottery painting fun and don't forget to bring your preferred bottle—whether it's wine, Prosecco, or your favourite tipple. We can provide ice and soft/hot drinks.

The cost includes £7.50 for pizza and a drink. You simply pay for the pottery you choose to paint on the evening.

Always wanted to learn to crochet?

We’re thrilled to launch our latest crochet workshop led by the wonderfully talented Alison from ATaylor-Made Crafts.

In this exciting session, you’ll learn how to create a stunning handmade handbag using basic crochet stitches — perfect for beginners and seasoned crafters alike.

With Alison’s expert guidance, you’ll enjoy a relaxed, creative evening surrounded by fellow makers, and leave with a beautiful accessory to show off. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is needed — just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to fall in love with the art of crochet.

Adults Evening

A fun evening with friends

Relax and unwind with friends, family or colleagues. Learn some new painting techniques and create your masterpiece at our regular evening sessions. We have stamps, sponges, stencils and silkscreens to help with with your creativity. So, bring your own Prosecco or wine and we will provide the glasses and the nibbles. Pay £10 deposit to book a table, then add the cost of the pot you choose on the night.

Make Your Home Sparkle This Christmas!

Join us for a festive creative treat as Jemma from Riverbend Flowers York guides you through making your own beautiful Christmas wreath.

Using a mix of lush fresh foliage  (including eucalyptus, pine, spruce, holly, berries, and other seasonal accents) you’ll craft a unique design to suit your style.

Your finished wreath can be proudly displayed on your front door to welcome guests or used as a stunning centrepiece for your Christmas table. These workshops are always incredibly popular, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Room on the Broom Halloween!

Join us for a magical Room on the Broom preschool storytime.

Amelia from Little Play Dreamers will bring the story to life with a special shadow puppet show, games, and music before little ones enjoy juice and biscuits and paint their very own pottery witch keepsake to take home.

A perfect hour of Halloween fun for preschoolers and their grown-ups!
